Homemade BBQ Sauce

Super easy paleo BBQ Sauce that can be used as a burger and fry condiment, marinade, or even as a basting mixture when grilling or smoking.

Ingredients

Instructions

  • Combine all ingredients into a saucepan and whisk to mix. Bring to a soft boil over medium heat, whisking often.
  • Continue to gently simmer, reducing the heat if needed, for the sauce to thicken (approximately 10 minutes). Continue to whisk frequently to keep the sauce from burning.
  • Add more seasonings as needed to make it to your taste. If needed, add more maple syrup to sweeten.
  • Remove the sauce from the heat and let it cool to room temperature.
  • Store in a sealed container in the refrigerator until ready to use.

Notes

  • Add more spice if you like the heat
  • Swap out the Spicy Brown Koops' Mustard for a Dijon for a more subtle BBQ sauce
  • Add more herbs like oregano if you like extra flavors
