Meet Alane and Teah
Alane Boyd
Alane has kept her 40 lb weight loss off since 2013, and created BurgerFit and Cooking with My Friends as a way to get her family eating better. Her health journey started in 2012 after being diagnosed with high blood pressure and obesity. Frustrated and determined, Alane decided to make small, sustainable changes in her diet so that it would be maintainable for a lifetime. Now Alane maintains a healthy weight range and has incorporated quick and easy recipes that keep her picky family members eating better!
Teah Fields
Teah Fields is an insurance agent in Cookeville with Fields insurance agency. In addition to being a talented seamstress, she and her husband started a non-profit called Safe and Sound which provides overnight bags for children going into immediate foster care.
How We Met
You never know the people you are going to meet throughout your life! I first met Teah Smith (back when I met her she was Teah Fields, she is now married!) I had just opened a maternity boutique in Cookeville, TN and I was looking for local vendors that made trendy baby items. I found Teah’s shop on Etsy and messaged her. She was incredible to work with and one of the top selling brands in my store. She has gone on to become a licensed Insurance Agent at her family’s agency and is also launching a soon-to-be non-profit, Safe and Sound, which provides bags filled with needed items for children going into immediate foster care. We wanted to do double duty that day and bring her and everyone at Field’s Insurance BurgerFit burgers but also bring lots of goodies for Safe and Sound.
