Gluten-Free Beet Hummus Dip
What makes this recipe special?
From Kassia Fiedor – I love dips so much, and this one using beets as the base is surprisingly delicious! As someone who is sensitive to beans, I’m always looking for alternatives to use for dips. You’ll love this bright, earthy, smooth gluten-free Beet Hummus Dip – it’s great with crudites or gluten-free crackers. Plus it’s the perfect way to get beets into your diet, especially if you’re not a huge fan of them.
According to Healthline, beets are packed with essential vitamins, minerals, and plant compounds, some of which have medicinal properties. They are low in calories, yet high in valuable vitamins and minerals. In fact, they contain a bit of almost all the vitamins and minerals that you need. Beets contain a high concentration of nitrates which have a blood pressure-lowering effect. This may lead to a reduced risk of heart attacks, heart failure, and stroke.
