Hummus: The Perfect Go-To Snack!
We love hummus and eat it with everything! It makes for a great and healthy snack that goes great with vegetables, bread or chips! But did you know that you can make hummus with something other than chickpeas? This hummus recipe puts pinto beans to the hummus test with Koops’ mustard in it. And the verdict is, it’s delicious! The pinto beans give it a fun and unique flavor and the jalapeños Koops’ mustard gives it the perfect kick! Hummus lovers – you HAVE to try this recipe!

Pinto Bean Hummus
Equipment
Ingredients
- 1 can pinto beans
- 2 tbsp Koops' Jalapeno Mustard
- 2 tbsp sesame seeds
- 1 tbsp garlic
- 1 tsp paprika
- salt to taste
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- pine nuts to taste
- cilantro (as garnish)
- pine nuts (as garnish)
Instructions
- Add everything but the pine nuts and the cilantro to a food processor. Blend until it reaches the consistency of hummus, stopping to push the slides down in the food processor as you go.
- Scoop into a serving bowl and top with toasted pine nuts and cilantro. Eat with bread, vegetables or BurgerFit burgers!

I’m glad that this hummus recipe has cilantro, it makes a world of difference. Just my preference is to add just a pinch of paprika instead of a teaspoon next time. But other than that, this recipe is a bomb! Thanks for sharing Alane.
