Whole30 Raspberry Breakfast Sausage
Homemade keto, paleo, Whole30 raspberry breakfast sausage patties are your perfect fall breakfast! If you tried our blueberry sausage and love it, you will love this fresh, juicy adaptation and ready in under 20 minutes!
It is now raspberry season and I am lucky enough to have access to fresh organic ones at our local farmers market. We always enjoy them in the traditional ways – topping over yogurt, with a cheese plate, or added to a smoothie but I wanted to expand what else we use them for. I thought about the blueberry sausage I make and how delicious it is and thought, why not try to make a sausage with raspberries to see how it turns out?! I am happy to report that this experiment turned out fantastic!
These are a little sweet from the raspberries and a little savory from the herbs, making them the perfect accompaniment to any breakfast or salad.
Making sausage yourself is super easy and really the way to go so you aren’t consuming a lot of added sugars and preservatives. To make them, all you need is some ground meat and spices/seasonings, most of which you probably already have in your spice cabinet. You can even use fresh herbs, just double the amount used. Here is what you will need to make the keto, paleo, Whole30 raspberry breakfast sausage:
- ground pork
- garlic powder
- rosemary
- thyme
- oregano
- fresh raspberries
- salt and pepper
“Can I have another sausage? It is sooo good.” – Fletcher after his 4th sausage at breakfast
Need to pack lunch for your kids? This Whole30 raspberry breakfast sausage isn’t just good for breakfast time, they go perfect with any meal of the day! Throw a few of these in with your kid’s lunches with slices of cheese, nuts, and apple and they have a balanced lunch that you can feel good about.
For my own lunch, I love throwing these on my salads with one of my homemade salad dressings. You really can’t go wrong with adding these to any meal!
