Dairy-Free Hummus Dressing

Jump to Recipe

This dairy-free hummus dressing is the perfect amount of creaminess without using mayonnaise or sour cream! It also takes less than 5-minutes to make. Why stop at just snacking on hummus when you can have it on your entire meal?! I use to just put a glob of hummus on top of my salad but that all changed after I conducted a salad dressing experiment when my in-laws were visiting. I had two homemade salad dressings that only had a little bit of each left, and about half a cup of hummus leftover from a batch I had made. So I threw all three together to make enough dressing for all our salads! It turned out amazing and my mother-in-law even asked for the recipe! Although I cannot recreate the trio of leftover dressings that I put together, I finessed my hummus salad dressing and now this is my favorite way of making it. Thanks to our Functional Medicine Certified Health Coach, Stephanie Zarling, for teaching us how easy it really is to make your own mason jar dressings!

I often have hummus on hand because both of my boys love it and it is a great go-to snack. I can even get my 5-year-old to eat it with carrots and not just pita bread or crackers. I love making my own hummus but you can easily use any of your favorite store-bought hummuses for this recipe.

“Have you ever thought, hummus is so good I could just eating as a dressing? Now you can!” – Alane

If you love hummus dressing then this got to be it! No complicated preparations – all you do it shake it in a jar. I also recommend that you use the Koop’s mustard, it is so tasty!
